Dr Paul Dakers

European Patent Attorney
Paul has experience with drafting, prosecution, and opposition of EP patent applications gained from within in-house and private practice working alongside both large multinational companies, SMEs, universities, and individual inventors.

His work covers a wide range of applications relating to computer-implemented inventions, VR imaging techniques, blockchain and cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, mechanics and mechanical engineering, electronics and electrical engineering, and green technology. Amongst Paul’s specialisms are software patents, with which he has extensive experience.

Paul holds a particular interest in mixed, augmented, and virtual reality technology including VR imaging techniques. He has written several articles on current technical solutions to problems associated with VR technology.

Paul has also worked in the energy industry, gaining substantial experience as a Physicist in research and development of borehole tool design and verification, and finite element modelling of electrical and electromagnetic well-logging tools. His experience extends into green energy and the latest innovations in the renewables space.

He has also worked in-house as a contracting patent attorney for a world leading semiconductor manufacturer.

Paul has a PhD in theoretical physics from Loughborough University on the topic of graphene superlattices for terahertz applications.
